"Do Whatever You Want": Audience(s) Created, Creating, RecreatingUniversity Of California, San Francisco Drawing on the author's witnessing 12 years of experimental presentations at cultural studies sessions in various venues, the account goes back and forth in time as a double-voiced text as (a) a narrative of the development and maturation of these presentations and (b) a reflexive account of the questions and problems the author faced in creating an experimental text. Underlying the voices is a problematic about the worth of sociology.
